Winners: 2016 Directors Guild Awards

With the producers going for The Big Short, but the Screen Actors Guild opting for Spotlight, a lot hinged on the outcome of DGA awards to determine the Oscar favourite. Unfortunately, the race is now even more wide open, with Alejandro Inarritu winning the top prize for The Revenant.

He now celebrates two major awards, having won a Golden Globe in January and takes a lot of momentum to the Oscars on 28th February. Could it be another year where Best Director and Best Picture go to different films?
